Washtenaw Community College receives grant from the Jamie Daniels Foundation

The Collegiate Recovery Program at Washtenaw Comunity College was recently awarded a grant from the Jamie Daniels Foundation, which will endow a scholarship for a student in the program and assist in its quest to provide all WCC students with recovery support, connection, and community to improve their health and well-being. 988: Emergency line for mental health is live! 

People in the US experiencing a mental health crisis have a new way to reach out for help. They can simply call or text the numbers 9-8-8. 

Those who dial in will be connected to a trained counselor who are part of the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Counselors will listen, provide support, and connect callers to resources. Available 24/7, this new lifeline will prevent countless suicide deaths and get those struggling with mental health the help they need. Learn more, here.

Co-founder Lisa Daniels-Goldman joins WN2T panel about addiction

On Wednesday, August 31, Co-founder Lisa Daniels-Goldman will join the Detroit Jewish Community’s “We Need 2 Talk about Addiction” – a panel discussion about addiction, mental health, and recovery. Available in-person or via Zoom, a group of advocates will share stories and insights that explore the impact of addiction and inspire hope on the path to recovery.
