Reducing Misuse of Medicine

The Problem

These medications are often the first source of drugs for children and teenagers. That’s why we are committed to addiction education and prevention, which reduces the risks associated with unsafe storage and disposal of prescription medications.

What we are doing about it

Drug deactivation and disposal pouches are distributed at our events to encourage Michiganders to safely discard their prescription medications.

What do these pouches do?

They render the medication harmless and allow you to safely discard them in your trash can without any impact on the environment.

Success Stories

Since 2022, we’ve distributed more than 2,000 pouches. These 2,000 pouches have the capacity to destroy 90,000 pills.
